Ferreira’s Deli

18th September 2009

Well known and respected restaurant critic Charles Campion wrote this week in his The Smart Shopper column for the Evening Standard about local Camden Town institution Ferreira, the petite Portuguese Delicatessen on Delancey Street. It’s rare that a place as small as Ferreira garnishes such large praise, though it is in keeping with the equally large crowds that gather at the Deli each day for one of their truly spectacular Portuguese rolls. Mr Campion also highlights the completely sublime little custard tarts, at a credit crunch busting 70p a turn. Though he does point out their addictive nature, which may reverse the savings effect. Congratulations to Ferreira for garnering such well deserved praise. (40 Delancey Street, NW1, 020 7485 2351)
